Procedure for Obtaining PeKa B40 Benefits
Step 1: Check your eligibility.
Step 2: If eligible, visit the nearest PeKa B40 Clinic, identifiable by the PeKa B40 logo sticker. Make sure to bring your MyKad for verification.
Step 3: A health examination will be conducted during your first visit to the clinic.
Step 4: The second visit will be to review your lab results with the doctor and to determine follow-up actions, such as a referral to KKM Facilities or the KKM Healthy Active Program.

These tests involve the collection of blood samples, typically from a vein in the arm, which are then analyzed in a laboratory using various techniques to obtain the necessary medical information.
During the process of selecting a date for the health screening (PEKAB40):
Once checkout done, appointment confirmation with your selected date and time slot will be emailed to you. Please bring along identification card/ Passport to the service location (Klinik Mediviron Bandar Tasek Mutiara) for verification. No Other print out is required, only IC/Passport is mandatory.
Preparation before Blood Test Procedure:
The day before your blood test, follow these steps to ensure accurate results:
- Fasting: If your doctor has instructed you to fast, do not eat or drink anything except water for 8-12 hours before the test. Common tests that require fasting include glucose and lipid panels.
- Hydration: Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated makes it easier to draw blood.
- Medications: Continue taking your prescribed medications unless your doctor advises otherwise. Inform your doctor about all medications and supplements you are taking.
- Diet: Avoid fatty or sugary foods the night before, as they can affect certain test results.
- Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Do not consume alcohol or caffeinated beverages for at least 24 hours before the test.
- Physical Activity: Avoid intense exercise or physical activity the day before your test, as it can affect certain results.
- Sleep: Get a good night's sleep. Being well-rested can help reduce stress and make the blood draw process easier.
- Inform Your Doctor: If you are feeling unwell or have any concerns, inform your doctor as this might affect your test results.
When Visiting the Clinic:
- Ensure that you bring your identification card (IC) to facilitate the staff in identifying your appointment.
- The registration process will be conducted, and the staff will provide you with a queue number.
- Before seeing the doctor, your blood pressure, oxygen saturation (SpO2), weight, and height will be measured.
- When you are called, please enter the doctor's room for the health screening examination, which includes blood and urine tests.
- After completing the tests, you can leave. Your samples will be sent to the laboratory for analysis. The clinic staff will contact you once your results are available.
After the Examination Results are Ready:
- You will be called to meet with the doctor again for a consultation regarding your health status.
Reminder:
It is advised to avoid undergoing the health screening if you are menstruating or experiencing an illness such as a fever, as this can affect the accuracy of your test results.
