How long can i sit in a FIR therapy?
The most important thing to keep in mind when you're starting out on far infrared therapy is to go slow. Your body needs time to get accustomed to the infrared therapy and once you start getting used to it you can gradually adjust the length of your session in accordance to what your body needs. We recommend starting with a 20 minute session and to increase it up to a 30 minute session per sitting. Listen to your body, it will guide you!
How often can in sit in FIR Therapy?
Far Infrared saunas are safe to use on a daily basis, but do keep it to once a day. Similar to an exercise regime, the more you use, the sooner you see the results. On average, most people partake in 20-30 minute sessions, 3-4 times a month. There is no specific time of day to use the sauna, you can use it anytime that suits your schedule.
How should I prepare for my FIR therapy?
With all the sweating, it’s important to come to each session well-hydrated and to rehydrate after. Proper hydration is a crucial component to sauna use.
One of the principal benefits of sauna use is the improvement in blood circulation. This can be counteracted if you consume a heavy meal beforehand, due to the blood being primarily concentrated in the digestive system. If eating a heavy meal beforehand cannot be avoided, you should wait at least 1-2 hours prior to your session. However, if you have the choice, choose a lighter meal that can be easily digested.
Will i go through any healing crisis that i need to take note?
Healing crisis is the result of the body’s system acting together to eliminate waste products and set the stage for regeneration, a temporary discomfort during the body's process of detoxification.During the crisis, a recurrence of symptoms from long-forgotten illnesses may also occur. Symptoms of a healing crisis vary from one person to another. Healing crisis symptoms can include headaches, nausea, lethargic, low-grade fever and diarrhea. This may be followed by uneasiness or discomfort to the body. In such cases, it is advised to continue usage as such symptoms usually last between 3 to 5 days . However, should this persist, please discontinue usage temporarily before continuing later.
Are there any contra-indications for this product?
It is considered inadvisable to raise the core body temperature in someone with adrenal suppression and systemic lupus erythematosus or multiple sclerosis by some authorities. If you have any one of the conditions stated above, please do not sit in the sauna.
Far Infrared Sauna use is also not recommended for someone who is pregnant, children under 12, those with hemophilia and those under the influence of alcohol.
For someone with metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants, implanted silicone or silicone prosthesis, heart pacemaker or heart related implants, it is advisable to consult with your physician prior to using the FIR sauna.
