Preparation before Blood Test Procedure:

The day before your blood test, follow these steps to ensure accurate results:

  1. Fasting: If your doctor has instructed you to fast, do not eat or drink anything except water for 8-12 hours before the test. Common tests that require fasting include glucose and lipid panels.
  2. Hydration: Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated makes it easier to draw blood.
  3. Medications: Continue taking your prescribed medications unless your doctor advises otherwise. Inform your doctor about all medications and supplements you are taking.
  4. Diet: Avoid fatty or sugary foods the night before, as they can affect certain test results.
  5. Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Do not consume alcohol or caffeinated beverages for at least 24 hours before the test.
  6. Physical Activity: Avoid intense exercise or physical activity the day before your test, as it can affect certain results.
  7. Sleep: Get a good night's sleep. Being well-rested can help reduce stress and make the blood draw process easier.
  8. Inform Your Doctor: If you are feeling unwell or have any concerns, inform your doctor as this might affect your test results.

When Visiting the Clinic:

  1. Ensure that you bring your identification card (IC) to facilitate the staff in identifying your appointment.
  2. The registration process will be conducted, and the staff will provide you with a queue number.
  3. Before seeing the doctor, your blood pressure, oxygen saturation (SpO2), weight, and height will be measured.
  4. When you are called, please enter the doctor's room for the health screening examination, which includes blood and urine tests.
  5. After completing the tests, you can leave. Your samples will be sent to the laboratory for analysis. The clinic staff will contact you once your results are available.

After the Examination Results are Ready:
